Chances are equal, but consequences are veeeeery different.
The main motivation in modern societies is of economic nature. You always need to doubt the information you're being given, because maybe — just maybe — it might not be the truth that's beneficial to the provider. In general: Doubt everything.
Extremes can be problematic, as we know. And there's no such thing as eternal growth.
We need to handle resources in a appreciative and sustainable way and stop mindless consumerism.
